Shelby Farms’ Earth Day celebration, Down to Earth, was a wonderful time bringing together sunshine, community supporters, eco-friendly thinkers and a field full of bright ideas! EcoMemphis was there as a vendor, encouraging people come together on EcoMemphis.com and share ideas, tips, writing, photography or video to promote eco-friendly solutions and habits to practice in daily routines. We, of course, shot some video and will be sharing those throughout the next couple of weeks.

Take a few minutes to watch these videos focusing on alternative fuel resources in Memphis.

In the video below (54 seconds) Andrew discusses an organization with which he is connected call Deep Fried Rides. They take diesel fuel engines and reconfigure them so that they can operate on waste cooking oil!

In this video (2:28 minutes), Jim discusses a low pollution lawnmower, made by EnviroGuard.
